Connecting Hearts to His Word
Who We Are
Our Vision
To be a bible based, diverse, community of believers committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that lives are transformed for His cause and for His purpose.
Our Mission
We exist to make the love of Jesus Christ real and relevant throughout Washington County and the World by seeking the lost, disciplining the saved and equipping the body of Christ for ministry.

Our Core Values
1. The word of God. We believe that the Bible is God's revelation of Himself to humanity and that it is infallible. II Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, Isaiah 40:8.
2. The Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that because of the fall, humanity was born separated from God. We also believe that humanity can return to a right relationship with God by putting our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and what He accomplished in His death, burial, and resurrection. Genesis 3, John 3:16, Romans 5:8-9
3. Making disciples. We believe that God has called us to evangelize, teach, and equip others to follow Christ.
Matthew 28:19-20, Matthew 4:19, John 8:31
4. Building community. We believe that the church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ designed to uplift, encourage, and strengthen one another as we work together for the advancement of God's Kingdom.
Galatians 6:2, Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 Cor. 12:25-27
5. Serving Others. We believe that serving others both inside and outside of the church is paramount to sharing the message of Jesus Christ.
John 13:12-14, Matthew 20:28, Mark 9:35, James 2:14-17

Our Pastor
Rev. Anita J. Lovell is a preacher and teacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her spiritual journey began at the age of 13 when she first acknowledged Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was subsequently baptized and went on to serve in multiple capacities within Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Canonsburg under the leadership of Pastor Willis M. Hickerson. The call for which she was born came in 2003, when God called her into the preaching ministry. She went into training under the leadership of Pastor Lance B. Whitlock and was licensed to preach in May of 2006. She was ordained by Mt. Olive in July of 2011. She served as an associate minister of Mt. Olive Baptist Church from the time that she was licensed until she was installed as the Pastor on October 19, 2014. Her greatest joy, without question, is to serve God's people while preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

On an educational and professional level, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from Duquesne University in May of 1984. In May of 2022, she retired from UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital after 37 years of service. She received a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in June of 2014. Upon graduation from seminary, she received the Brooks Foundation Commencement prize which is awarded to the graduating senior who has the highest standing in the general area of Pastoral Care.

On a personal level, she is married to her one and only true love, Howard G. Lovell II. They have been married for 35 years and they are the parents of two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Crino (Kace) and Jessica Lovell. They have two beautiful granddaughters, Chloe Elizabeth Lovell and Kahlilla Miriah Crino.
